Role: Marine EngineerLocation: Gosport, Hampshire (with travel to Swanwick & surrounding areas)Salary: £30,000 – £45,000 dependant on experience Hours: Monday – Friday, early finish on Fridays
Platinum Recruitment are working in partnership with a well-established and highly regarded independent yacht refit, repair and maintenance centre. We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Marine Engineer to join their skilled and collaborative team in Gosport, Hampshire (with travel to Swanwick & surrounding areas)This role will focus on the diagnostics, servicing, and repair of marine engines, mechanical systems, and electronic equipment for vessels up to 40m in length, ensuring excellent service and craftsmanship across all projects.

What's the job role?
- Diagnose and repair marine engines, transmissions, drives, and generators
- Remove, service, and refit engines and mechanical systems
- Overhaul or replace key engine components including fuel and electrical systems
- Rebuilds and rewiring of ignition, lighting, and instrument panels
- Install and repair marine accessories (radios, heaters, waste systems, electronics)
- Work closely with shipwrights, riggers, and other marine specialists
Skills Required?
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Marine Engineer
- Experience in the luxury yacht industry (preferred)
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail with a methodical work approach
- Good team player with clear communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Full right to work in the UK and fluent English
