Platinum Recruitment is working in partnership with an ever growing supply chain supplier specialising in the defence and aerospace sectors and they are looking for a Goods In Operative to join their warehouse team.

What's involved?The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that all goods received from suppliers align with purchase order requirements and meet all compliance standards. This involves conducting thorough inspections, verifying documentation, booking stock into the ERP system, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain quality and compliance.
- To open deliveries, check the certification and make sure the information on the order system is in linewith the delivery paperwork.
- Coordinate with drivers upon their arrival to receive and process delivered goods.
- To book goods using the computer system.
- To conduct physical inspections of all incoming components to verify compliance with design
specifications and contractual requirements.
- To identify, document, and report any deviations from specification standards.
- Collaborating with the Quality team to establish effective and efficient criteria and methods for goods inward inspections.
- Managing and maintaining the quarantine area for non-compliant items.
- To liaise with the Quality Department if any queries / anomalies or non-conformances are found (e.g.incorrect goods).
- To deliver orders (by van) to Kanban clients, requiring around 3 days of driving per week (holiday cover only).
- To support colleagues in the warehouse with other duties as appropriate.
- To undertake housekeeping duties to ensure the warehouse is kept in a clear and orderly state.
