We are delighted to be partnering with a welcoming school in Bradford to recruit a talented and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join their supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable learners and contribute to a positive school culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing comprehensive support for pupils' well-being and fostering positive attitudes to learning, with a specific focus on vulnerable learners.
  • Assisting in the early identification of vulnerable pupils, assessing safeguarding risks, and delivering effective preventative interventions in collaboration with colleagues and external professionals or agencies.
  • Applying a range of intervention strategies to support both pupils and staff, ensuring appropriate follow-up actions are taken.
  • Attending relevant Multi-Agency Meetings (e.g., TAC) as required by the school calendar, sharing your expertise and offering support to colleagues.
  • Making first response and welfare calls, actively promoting excellent attendance and punctuality through dedicated work with pupils and their families.
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues, providing accurate and constructive feedback to contribute to effective lesson planning and supporting holistic pupil pastoral care.
What we're looking for:
  • Essential: GCSE in English & Maths at Grade C or above (or equivalent).
  • Essential: Ability to commute to Bradford on a daily basis.
  • Proven experience working with children, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • A relevant Childcare or Social Care qualification would be a significant advantage.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people's development and well-being.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and de-escalation skills.
  • A proactive and resilient approach to challenging situations.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Working Hours & Details:
  • This is a term-time only position.
  • Working hours are 6.5 hours per day, typically between 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM.
  • This is a temporary role and could lead to permanent for the right candidate.
Safeguarding:

An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required for this role. If you currently hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, this will significantly fast-track your application process.
