Platinum & Partners is conducting a search for an exceptional Quantitative Researcher on behalf of a top-tier systematic hedge fund in London. This is a pure research role with a direct line from signal generation to live capital allocation.
We are looking for one thing: someone who generates real alpha. Not someone who aspires to.
What we need to see:
Live, attributable alpha -signals in production now or within the last 12 months
Verifiable information coefficient and signal Sharpe across out-of-sample periods
Production-grade Python; strong statistical rigour on overfitting, multiple testing and regime robustness
Currently at a systematic fund, prop desk or quantitative asset manager - not in a career gap
This search is not right for you if:
Your alpha is theoretical or purely backtested, your most recent live signal work pre-dates 2022, or you are between roles without a clear recent track record of deployed research.
Base: £180,000 - £300,000 + discretionary bonus tied to research output
