As a Water Treatment Engineer in our newly established department, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining and improving water systems for our diverse client base. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new division with ample room for growth and professional development. Company van, fuel card and all tools provided!
You will undertake the maintenance and repair of the water treatment service at the building as required by the contract. Our maintenance engineers are key to our business and our client relationships. In this role you need to not only be able to deliver the best maintenance and repair service, but also go above and beyond to ensure an excellent relationship between our client and Platinum Facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Monitoring: Regularly inspect and monitor pumps, filters, and dosing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Water Quality Testing: Conduct tests for pH, turbidity, and chlorine levels, making necessary adjustments to treatments to maintain water quality.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Clean and maintain filters, replace parts, and perform minor repairs to ensure system reliability.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate daily records of all activities, including test results and maintenance logs.
- Emergency Response: Act swiftly to address equipment failures, leaks, and any other water-related issues, minimizing disruption.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Cooling Tower Maintenance: Descaling, cleaning and maintaining cooling towers.
Technical Requirements:
- Qualified to City & Guilds Level III or equivalent in Mechanical discipline (desirable).
- City & Guilds – Legionella Water Risk Assessments in building water systems.
- City & Guilds – Legionellosis, cooling towers operators and air conditioning.
- City & Guilds – Water Regulations 1999.
- Institution of Occupational Safety and Health – IOSH Certificate.
- The Water Management Society – Member (desirable).
- Driving license is essential.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Working Hours: 08:00 – 17:00, with flexibility for urgent needs.
