Approved Electrician Permanent National Travel (Head office in Bristol) OTE c£65,000+ & Benefits
We're looking for an Approved Electrician to join a leading employee‑owned electrical contractor specialising in high voltage substation and renewable energy infrastructure across the UK.
The role centres around pre‑energisation electrical installation work on substation projects, including cable and switchgear installation, containment, and inspection and testing.
You'll be based out of the company's Bristol office on a Monday before heading out to site for the remainder of the week, working across a varied portfolio of wind, solar and battery storage projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out site installations on a pre‑energisation basis, including cable and switchgear installation
- Install containment systems including cable trays and ladders
- Install substation lighting and lower voltage power systems
- Conduct inspection and testing in line with approved status
- Support and mentor junior members of the team, including apprentices
- Maintain accurate paperwork and ensure compliance with health & safety standards
Requirements
- Approved Electrician status (2391 or equivalent inspection and testing qualification)
- ECS card
- Background in large scale industrial installations. Substation experience is not essential
- Full UK driving licence

- OTE c£70,000 with overtime and bonus
