We are working with a growing building services and facilities management business that is looking to appoint a Mechanical Contracts Manager to support a diverse portfolio of projects for major retail and commercial clients across the UK. This is a key position within the business and would suit someone who enjoys operating in a fast-paced environment where projects move quickly, priorities change and teamwork is essential.

We're particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have a strong background in HVAC, ventilation, ductwork and extract systems, alongside a broader understanding of mechanical building services. This role will act as the lead mechanical point of contact across multiple projects, supporting operational teams and helping to drive successful delivery from start to finish.

The Role

  • Managing mechanical building services projects from inception through to completion
  • Overseeing HVAC, ventilation, ductwork, extract and mechanical installations
  • Managing projects ranging from minor works through to £1m packages
  • Supporting Project Managers and site teams on technical and operational matters
  • Coordinating programmes, subcontractors, suppliers and project documentation
  • Managing project costs, variations and overall commercial performance
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders
  • Supporting commissioning, testing and project handovers
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards
  • Providing technical guidance across multiple live projects

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience delivering mechanical building services projects
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, ventilation, ductwork and extract systems
  • Experience managing mechanical installations from design through to commissioning
  • Previous experience within retail construction, fit-out, FM or fast-paced commercial environments
  • Strong commercial awareness and contract management experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations and UK Health & Safety legislation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
