Floating Support Worker (16+ Care Leavers – Supported Accommodation)
Location: Eyres Monsell, Leicester
Hours: Part-time (Flexible, may include evenings/weekends)
Contract: Permanent

We are seeking a Floating Support Worker to support 16+ care leavers living in semi-independent supported accommodation. Your work will directly impact their journey toward independence, wellbeing, and personal growth.

As a Floating Support Worker, you will provide person-centered, outcomes-focused support across multiple accommodation settings. This role is vital in ensuring we meet and exceed Ofsted’s Quality Standards for supported accommodation, safeguarding, and care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
• Delivering high-quality support that meets Ofsted’s standards for semi-independent living
• Supporting young people in developing independent living skills and support with daily routines
• Providing advice, guidance and support on education, training, employment, and budgeting
• Promoting emotional wellbeing and encouraging positive life choices
• Ensuring all safeguarding concerns are identified, recorded, and escalated in line with policy
• Developing and reviewing support plans, risk assessments, and daily progress logs
• Supporting and contributing to ongoing quality improvement

About You:
We are looking for individuals who are:
• Passionate about working with young people who have experienced trauma or adversity
• Able to build safe, trusting relationships with appropriate professional boundaries
• Committed to upholding the values and expectations of Ofsted-regulated services
• Familiar with safeguarding frameworks and the needs of care leavers
• Organised, proactive, and confident working across multiple accommodation sites

Essential Requirements:
• Experience working with vulnerable young people within a supported accommodation or residential setting
• Understanding of Ofsted’s regulatory framework for supported accommodation (or willingness to train)
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply)
• Diploma or NVQ Level 3 Children and Young People Workforce
