Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and proactive Head Coach to lead, grow, and inspire the next generation of footballers. This role is central to expanding the football provision across our teams programmes and supporting player development.
You will work closely with our wider coaching team to design and deliver high-quality football experiences tailored for players of all ages and abilities, helping shape a positive, inclusive environment where players can thrive both on and off the pitch.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead coaching sessions for assigned teams (primarily U7–U14 age groups).
Coach on matchdays (Saturdays) in the Epsom & Ewell Youth League.
Plan and deliver engaging, age–appropriate, and challenging training sessions aligned with Platform’s coaching framework.
Support player development on and off the pitch, providing individual feedback and mentoring.
Lead communication with parents and ensure clear and professional correspondence regarding fixtures, training, and progress.
Collaborate with other coaches and club staff to ensure consistency, standards, and safeguarding.
Uphold and promote Platform’s values of Play, Progress, Perform in every environment.
Monitor and track player progress, ensuring sessions are challenging, inclusive, and engaging
Identify and nurture talented players, supporting transitions into club environments or academies
Administration & Compliance
Ensure all safeguarding, health & safety, and GDPR policies are followed
Maintain accurate registers, session plans, and development records
Provide regular reports and updates to the Head of Football Development
Minimum FA Level 2 / UEFA C qualification in Coaching Football (or working towards)
Experience coaching football teams.
A strong understanding of female player development and youth football structures
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Enhanced DBS, First Aid, and Safeguarding Children certification (or willingness to obtain)
UEFA C Licence or working towards
Experience working within an academy.
Knowledge of talent pathways and experience working with advanced players
