We are working with a specialist engineering business looking for an experienced CNC Turner Setter/Programmer to join its precision manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist to work in a high-spec engineering environment, producing complex, precision components to extremely tight tolerances. You will work with a range of challenging and high-performance materials, including Inconel, Titanium, Hastelloy and Duplex alloys.

The Role

  • Set, program and operate CNC turning machines
  • Manufacture complex components to tight, micron-level tolerances
  • Work with exotic and difficult-to-machine materials
  • Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and GD&T
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds and feeds

About You

We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner with a strong background in precision machining. You should be confident working independently and have a good understanding of machining strategies, tooling and CNC programming.

  • Proven experience as a CNC Turner
  • CNC programming and setting experience
  • Experience machining exotic or difficult alloys
  • Experience producing complex components to tight tolerances
  • Strong ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T
