Test and Installation Engineer | Witney, Oxford | £30,000 – £35,000

As a Test and Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for configuring, validating, and maintaining technical systems or equipment to ensure they operate effectively and meet defined standards. The role involves identifying and resolving faults, conducting performance and quality checks, and verifying that installations are completed according to technical requirements and safety guidelines.
The Role:
* Conduct testing and installation of cryogenic systems in both laboratory environments and at customer sites worldwide.
* Participate in domestic and international travel as required (typically 3–14 days per trip, averaging up to 12 trips per year).
* Perform leak detection and verification of cryogenic and vacuum assemblies.
* Carry out electrical wiring inspections, including diagnostic testing and fault identification.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently during system testing and commissioning.
Key Skills and Experience:
* Background in science or engineering, with a minimum of A-level or equivalent education.
* At least two years of experience in a comparable technical or testing environment.
* Strong understanding of SI units and measurement principles.
* Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and data handling.
* Skilled in the use of multimeters and other electrical testing instruments.
