My client is a leading technology and engineering business looking for a Stores & Warehouse Operative to join its Cambridge-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous stores or warehouse experience who is looking to develop their career within a technical, engineering-led environment.
The Role
- Receiving, inspecting and storing incoming parts and materials
- Picking and kitting components for work orders
- Issuing shortages and stores requests
- Preparing and dispatching items against sales orders
- Arranging courier collections and dispatches
- Completing shipment paperwork and maintaining accurate records
- Updating the MRP/ERP system with correct stock and BIN locations
- Maintaining high levels of stock accuracy within SAP
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience working within a stores, warehouse or logistics environment
- SAP experience is essential
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a focus on stock accuracy
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A reliable, responsible and proactive approach to work
