An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised and commercially aware professional to join a growing international manufacturing business as a Sales Office Project Controller. This role combines project coordination, sales administration, export compliance, and customer service support within a fast-paced global environment. The successful candidate will work closely with internal departments, international customers, distributors, and logistics providers to ensure efficient project delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction. The position also plays a key role in maintaining compliance with UK and international export regulations and supporting ISO 9001 quality processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the sales office and assist the wider sales team with administrative and operational activities.
  • Coordinate project and contract planning activities using project management tools and reporting systems.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives across sales, customer service, and logistics functions.
  • Monitor project viability through structured commercial review processes.
  • Manage customs and export compliance activities, ensuring adherence to UK and international trade regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, customs declarations, and export licences where required.
  • Coordinate UK and international shipments via air, sea, and road freight.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in export administration, shipping, logistics, sales coordination, or project support within a manufacturing, engineering, technical, or regulated industry environment.
  • Knowledge of UK customs procedures and international shipping processes.
  • Experience handling international freight movements and export documentation.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
