Are you an experienced Development Engineer with a passion for creating bespoke test solutions? Platform Recruitment is partnering with a growing technology company in Cambridge that is looking for a hands-on engineer to develop advanced test platforms used to evaluate next-generation products. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop bespoke test equipment and experimental rigs
- Create software tools to automate testing and improve data handling
- Develop new methods for evaluating product performance and reliability
- Utilise 3D CAD to develop prototype components, fixtures and test equipment
- Build and integrate hardware, instrumentation and supporting systems
- Contribute to continuous improvements across testing capabilities and processes
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics or a related discipline
- Ability to design and assemble bespoke fixtures and prototype systems
- 3D CAD design
- Strong background in developing and running engineering test programmes
- Experience creating automated software tools using Python or similar languages
- Hands-on experience with instrumentation and laboratory equipment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience handling technical data
