An established and growing technology organisation is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Project Manager to join its Project Management team. This role involves leading the full lifecycle of complex new product development programmes, covering both hardware and software, from concept through to volume production. You will be responsible for delivering projects to scope, time, budget, and quality while managing risks, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of high-visibility technology projects in collaboration with technical and product stakeholders
- Manage full project lifecycle: concept, development, validation, and production
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and manage opportunities
- Facilitate regular project governance, reporting, and stakeholder communication
Day-to-Day Activities
- Leading project meetings and tracking progress against milestones
- Managing stakeholder expectations and escalating issues where required
- Ensuring adherence to defined project management processes
- Supporting cross-functional coordination across technical and business teams
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Formal project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM, IPMA, SAFe, or equivalent)
- 7–10 years’ experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary product development projects
- Proven experience delivering projects involving both hardware and software
- Strong experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Experience with embedded software, platforms, and application-level development
- Familiarity with software configuration management and continuous integration practices
- Strong understanding of hardware/software integration and product development lifecycles
