Platform has partnered with a leading Clean Energy company that are looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to play a key role in developing the electrical and power electronic systems that drive their cutting-edge products!
Main Duties:
- Design electrical networks for grid-connected systems (AC/DC configurations)
- Create electrical architecture diagrams and wiring schematics
- Assist in the creation of electrolyzer and fuel cell stack designs.
- Oversee and maintain electrical design materials and documentation and communicate with key stakeholders
- Ensure all electrical designs comply with relevant standards - IEEE, IEC, NFPA etc.
- Assist with system installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical components
Skills and Experience Required:
- Qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- AC/DC distribution experience
- Power system design experience - cable sizing, protection device selection, and with control systems – PLC’s
- Proficient in power system design systems (ETAP, EPLAN, MATLAB).
- Experience with British and international regulations and standards
- Have worked within R&D and prototype development environments.
- Experience with MW Scale systems desired

- The salary is circa £65K-£73K depending on experience
