I’m recruiting for a DSP Software Engineer to join a leading consumer electronics business developing complex, high-performance products. This role would suit an embedded software engineer with strong real-time embedded C/C++ experience and exposure to DSP applications. You’ll work closely with firmware, electronics and product development teams, supporting the design, prototyping and implementation of embedded software for advanced digital signal processing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop real-time embedded software for new products
- Write C/C++ code for DSP-based applications
- Develop processing chain components in MATLAB and implement them in C
- Write low-level drivers for DSP and PCB peripherals
- Support prototype bring-up, debugging and testing
- Work closely with electronics and firmware teams
- Produce technical documentation and take part in peer code reviews
Key Skills
- Degree in Electronics, Computer Science or similar
- Strong commercial C/C++ programming experience
- Real-time embedded systems experience
- DSP knowledge, such as filter design, FFT or sample rate conversion
- Electronics debugging and prototype bring-up experience
- Familiarity with Git, Jira or Agile development
Experience with Analog Devices SHARC processors would be highly beneficial.
Salary is circa £65k, with benefits including 24 days holiday plus bank holidays, free canteen, free parking, enhanced pension, wellbeing support and training opportunities.
