My client, a leading communications technology business, is looking for a Repair Operations Manager to lead its repair service operations. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end performance of the repair centre, driving operational excellence, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service across a fast-paced engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the repair centre and manage service delivery against KPIs and SLAs
- Drive capacity planning, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage budgets, resources, and inventory to optimise performance
- Oversee technical repair capability and maintain high engineering standards
- Work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Customer Support teams
- Develop and mentor the repair operations team, driving performance and accountability
- Ensure compliance with ISO9001, Health & Safety, and security requirements
- Support commercial activities, including tenders, pricing, and service proposals
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience
- Proven experience managing repair, service, or production operations within an engineering environment
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing KPIs, budgets, and operational performance
- Experience driving Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives
- Excellent stakeholder management and customer-facing experience
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
- Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC)
