We're partnering with a leading engineering and manufacturing business that designs high-performance instrumentation and control products for challenging industrial environments.
As they continue to expand their product portfolio, they are looking for a Compliance Engineer to take ownership of product certification and regulatory compliance across their range of products.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in product development, working closely with design engineers, manufacturing teams and external certification bodies to ensure products remain compliant throughout their lifecycle.
The Role
As Compliance Engineer, you will be responsible for driving product compliance from concept through to production while ensuring products continue to meet evolving international regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product certification activities across a range of international standards.
- Manage relationships with third-party certification bodies, coordinating submissions, testing, audits and renewals.
- Review new product designs early in the development process to identify compliance risks.
- Prepare and maintain technical files, certification records and Declarations of Conformity.
- Monitor changes to industry regulations and translate new requirements into engineering actions.
- Support investigations and corrective actions relating to compliance issues.
About You
You'll be an organised and proactive engineer with experience navigating product certification within an industrial manufacturing environment.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- At least three years' experience in product compliance, certification or regulatory engineering.
- Knowledge of one or more key compliance standards such as ATEX, IECEx, UL, CSA or CE.
- Experience managing certification projects with external testing laboratories or notified bodies.
