Multi-Skilled Workshop Engineer – Β£18–£22 per hour (DOE) Location: Dunstable Our client, a well-established engineering business based in Dunstable, is looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Workshop Engineer to join their team. The role involves assembling, testing, upgrading, and commissioning production machinery, as well as supporting junior engineers and ensuring high-quality engineering standards are maintained. Key Responsibilities: * Assemble, test, and commission new and refurbished production machinery * Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults * Carry out installations, wiring, and upgrades on-site and in the workshop * Support and mentor junior team members * Read and interpret engineering and wiring diagrams * Maintain high standards of quality and safety Skills & Experience: * Strong mechanical and electrical engineering background (food processing equipment experience desirable) * Hands-on experience in fault finding, troubleshooting, and repairs * Knowledge of PLC systems and electrical wiring design * Proactive, detail-focused, and a strong team player * Engineering qualification (mechanical or electrical) preferred This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected company offering competitive hourly rates and long-term stability
