My client is looking for a Quality Engineer to join their growing manufacturing team in Cambridge. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving quality systems for high-precision products used across the communications, defence, space and transportation sectors.
The Role
- Manage and improve quality management systems and processes
- Lead non-conformance investigations, change control and corrective actions
- Conduct internal ISO9001 and ISO27001 audits
- Analyse manufacturing data to drive continuous improvement
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and Lean manufacturing initiatives
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve quality, yield and efficiency.
What They're Looking For
- Experience in a Quality Engineer or similar manufacturing quality role
- Knowledge of ISO9001 (ISO27001 and Internal Auditor certification desirable)
- Experience with RCCA, 8D, FMEA and statistical analysis tools such as Minitab or JMP
- Understanding of RoHS, REACH and SCIP regulations
- Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Experience working within a Lean manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
