Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Role: Electro-mechanical Machinery

Location: Cambridgeshire

Salary: Β£50k-Β£65k

This role involves the design and delivery of complex hardware – with applications in precision automation, electro-mechanical, and advanced manufacturing, from early-stage R&D through to scalable production. You’ll join a talented, multidisciplinary team working at the cutting edge of innovation, delivering robust mechanical solutions that integrate into larger, system-level platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Design & deliver complex mechanical subsystems within integrated platforms

+ Full product development cycle – concept generation, detailed design & design for manufacture

+ Conduct hands-on prototyping & testing

+ Work in a highly skilled multidisciplinary engineering team

+ Project leadership – lead projects, mentor & technically guide engineers

Key Requirements:

+ Background in developing electro-mechanical systems

+ Strong 3D CAD skills

+ Proven experience in developing new products & precision mechanisms

+ Knowledge of a range of manufacturing techniques

+ Hands on and practical skills – prototyping & testing

+ Industry experience in special purpose machinery or medical is advantageous
