Mechanical Design Engineer

Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Role: Enclosures Location: Norfolk Salary: £35k-£45k Platform Recruitment has partnered with a manufacturer that design and develop advanced electro-mechanical products across the full development cycle – concept through to production. They’re looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who will be capable of delivering highly robust and thoroughly tested mechanical design solutions as well as leading development on new projects. The Role: + Design and develop products for harsh environments + Create product concepts and visuals + Develop tools, set up prototypes, and oversee initial trials + Prepare product specifications and support documentation + Enhance processes and support engineering best practices + Resolve design and testing challenges Requirements: + Experienced in designing enclosures/electro-mechanical/optical products + Hands-on experience managing end-to-end product development + 3D CAD design – Solidworks + Design for high volume manufacture + Produce manufacturing drawings + Practical experience with prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting + Knowledge of materials and technologies The salary will be between £35,000-£45,000 depending on experience.
