My client, a global manufacturing and technology business, is looking for a Lead Accountant Indirect Tax to join its finance team. This role will focus on indirect tax compliance, VAT reporting, and process improvement across multiple international entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage indirect tax reporting and compliance across assigned regions
- Review VAT, EC Sales, Intrastat, and related tax filings
- Support outsourced tax providers to ensure accurate and timely delivery
- Monitor VAT regulations and support implementation of new requirements
- Maintain VAT reconciliations and ensure ERP tax accuracy
- Support audits, customs processes, and HMRC reclaim activities
- Assist with SAP S4/Hana tax-related implementations and process improvements
- Work closely with finance, IT, and operational teams across the business
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CTA, ICAEW or equivalent)
- 7+ years experience within indirect tax or VAT reporting
- Strong knowledge of global indirect tax and VAT regulations
- SAP ECC/S4 experience with tax-related processes
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities
