I am recruiting two experienced Fluidrive Engineers to join a growing team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a site-based role working within the field of power transmission systems and rotating machinery, supporting a diverse customer base across industries such as oil & gas, rail, marine, mining, energy, and heavy mechanical engineering.
This is a unique opportunity to work on high-performance drive systems, combining hands-on engineering, technical design, and customer-facing collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:- Create and revise technical and manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD and Siemens NX
- Maintain technical records and ensure drawings meet BS 8888 standards
- Manage engineering documentation through Team Centre
- Liaise with internal teams, field service engineers, and international partners
- Support product overhauls, repairs, and new system designs
- Own and resolve technical NCRs relating to Fluidrive products
- Provide engineering input to support sales, purchasing, and quality teams
- Visit suppliers and assist with casting, machining, and manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with customers across the UK, Ireland, and overseas
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in mechanical design/manufacturing
- HND or higher in Mechanical Engineering
- Skilled in AutoCAD, Siemens NX, and Team Centre
- Knowledge of engineering change, document control, and BS 8888
- Strong grasp of non-ferrous casting processes and ISO 9001:2015
- Experience with rotating equipment, gear units, couplings, or drive systems
- Commercial awareness and excellent technical communication skills
- A hands-on, adaptable team player with a passion for mechanical engineering
- Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience)
- Annual bonus (pro rata on year of joining)
- 36.5-hour work week: Mon-Thurs 8:30-16:30, Fri 8:30-15:30
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays (pro rata on joining)
