Electronics Support Engineer | Bury St Edmunds
Our client is seeking an Electronics Support Engineer to provide technical support for a range of electronic products and systems.
This is a varied role combining hands‑on electronics, product testing, fault diagnosis, manufacturing support and customer‑facing technical assistance.
Working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Sales teams, you will help ensure products meet the highest standards of performance, quality and reliability while supporting customers and contributing to continuous product improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to customers, distributors and internal departments regarding product operation, installation and application.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues arising from manufacturing, field installations and customer enquiries.
- Perform testing, verification and validation of electronic products and assemblies.
- Develop and improve test procedures, validation methods and test equipment.
- Diagnose faults identified during production testing and support root cause investigations.
- Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to support production and ongoing product development.
- Assist with calibration, maintenance and verification of electronic test equipment.
- Support product compliance activities against UK, European and international standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Practical experience of electronic testing, fault finding and troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of analogue and digital electronics.
- Experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters and signal generators.
- Knowledge of electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility principles..
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to undertake occasional UK and international travel, including overnight stays.
