My client, a leading organization within the space and advanced technology sector, is looking for an Electronics Buyer to support procurement activities across high-spec engineering projects. This role focuses on sourcing electronic components while working closely with engineering and project teams in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and procure electronic components including PCBs, semiconductors, and sensors
  • Interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and specifications to support purchasing decisions
  • Manage the full procurement lifecycle from RFQ to delivery and supplier follow-up
  • Identify and onboard new suppliers in line with quality and compliance standards
  • Maintain accurate ERP/MRP system data (pricing, lead times, sourcing)
  • Support engineering teams with obsolescence, alternatives, and technical queries
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and purchase orders with suppliers

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a procurement or buying role (electronics or engineering preferred)
  • Understanding of electronic components and lifecycle management
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, IFS)
  • Ability to work across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Good technical and commercial awareness
