Our client is a leading engineering and manufacturing company that supplies specialised equipment to the converting and print industries worldwide. They are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to support a high-volume supply chain environment. The role will focus on improving supplier performance, assessing and approving new suppliers, and providing quality support to purchasing activities. The successful candidate will have a strong background in supplier management, quality systems, and continuous process improvement.

The Role:

  • Conducting supplier visits and performing quality audits
  • Managing the qualification and approval of new suppliers
  • Raising and processing purchase orders through an ERP system
  • Investigating, managing, and closing supplier non-conformances
  • Identifying and evaluating potential new suppliers

Key Skills and Experience:

  • HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant technical field
  • A minimum of three years’ practical experience using ERP systems, with a strong understanding of warehouse, materials management, and planning functions
  • Proven experience working with supplier performance metrics, scorecards, and vendor management practices
  • At least three years’ experience in continuous improvement or process improvement activities
