Mechanical Design Engineer in Bar Hill

Mechanical Design Engineer Salary: £35k-£45k (depending on experience) Location: Cambridgeshire An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join an established and innovative product development business. The company designs and manufactures high-quality, technically complex electro-mechanical products, taking projects from initial concept and development through to production. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Engineer looking to develop their career within a hands-on engineering environment. You'll work closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams, gaining exposure to the full product development lifecycle while developing your ability to take ownership of mechanical design projects. Key Responsibilities: * Develop designs from initial concept through to prototype, manufacture and production * Produce 3D CAD models, assemblies and detailed engineering drawings * Build and assemble prototypes * Prepare manufacturing documentation, assembly instructions and technical drawings * Work closely with production teams to identify and resolve mechanical issues * Investigate new materials, manufacturing processes and finishing techniques Skills & Experience Required: * Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or a related discipline * 3D CAD design skills – Solidworks * Understand mechanical manufacturing processes, materials, tolerances and finishing techniques * Hands-on experience with prototyping or workshop-based activities * Experience developing consumer, scientific or electro-mechanical products If you're a Mechanical Design Engineer looking for an opportunity to develop your skills, work on interesting products and become part of a collaborative engineering team, then apply with a copy of your CV
