We're looking for an experienced R&D Engineer to join a growing engineering team, helping to develop and enhance a range of embedded electronic products from concept through to production. This is an opportunity to work on innovative technology, contributing across the full product lifecycle within a collaborative R&D environment.
The Role
You'll play a key role in the development of embedded electronic products, working closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver robust, reliable solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing analogue and digital electronic circuits for embedded systems
- Developing embedded firmware in C for microcontroller-based products
- Supporting products throughout their lifecycle, including component selection and obsolescence management
- Modifying mechanical designs where required using CAD
- Developing bespoke product variants to meet customer requirements
- Supporting testing, validation, and continuous product improvement
What We're Looking For
You'll ideally have:
- Experience in embedded electronics product development
- Strong embedded firmware development experience (Embedded C)
- Analogue and digital electronics design experience
- PCB design and schematic capture experience
- Some exposure to mechanical design/CAD
Experience within safety-critical, industrial, communications, or embedded product development would be highly beneficial.
