My client is a leading organisation in the space sector, known for delivering cutting-edge mission technology and supporting high-profile international space programmes. As they continue to expand their UK engineering presence, they are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team.
Reporting to the Head of Business Development & Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to grow our institutional business. This includes:
- Building strong relationships with government agencies
- Managing a pipeline of opportunities
- Leading capture activities from early engagement through to contract award
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities with UK and European institutional customers
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with government agencies and industry partners
- Developing and managing a robust pipeline aligned with growth objectives
- Leading capture activities, including win strategies and pursuit planning
- Supporting and contributing to high-quality bids and proposals
Qualifications:
- Degree (preferably in a technical or space-related discipline)
- 5+ years experience in business development, ideally within the space sector

- Experience working with government or agency customers (e.g. UK or European institutions)
