An opportunity for an experienced Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join an advanced R&D team, developing power electronics products from concept through to manufacture for industries such as automotive and industrial automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop power electronic circuits and systems
- Lead design of critical power components for new products
- Use SPICE simulation to support design decisions
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on drive and system architecture
- Research and apply emerging power electronics technologies
Essential Skills & Experience
- MEng / MSc in Power Electronics or related discipline
- 5 years experience in a commercial engineering environment
- Strong knowledge of SMPS, thermal design, DFM, mechanics, and PCB layout
- Experience with analogue and digital circuit design
Desirable
- Chartered Engineer status
- Prototype build, bench testing, and system experimentation
- Thermal, mechanical, or EMC experience for motor drives
