My client, a well-established precision engineering manufacturer, is looking for a Multi-Skilled Machine Tool Fitter to join their team. This hands-on role focuses on building and assembling high-precision machinery to exacting standards.
Key Responsibilities- Build and assemble complex machinery from engineering and assembly drawings
- Carry out precision fitting, including bearings and close tolerance components
- Perform drilling, tapping, and general fitting work
- Install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including testing and calibration
- Install pipework, cabling, switches, sensors, and motors
- Use toolroom machinery such as lathes, mills, and grinders
- Support customer site visits when required
- Strong experience in machine tool building or complex mechanical assembly
- Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
- Experience working to tight tolerances
- Competent with workshop machinery and lifting equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
