My client is a global clean-energy technology organisation developing advanced power and hydrogen solutions. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a high-performing test and engineering environment supporting the development and operation of complex test infrastructure.
The Senior Electrical Engineer will act as the technical authority for electrical design across a fleet of test systems, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable electrical solutions. Working closely with test operations and project teams, you will deliver scalable and cost-effective designs while supporting commissioning, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities. This role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, fault investigation, and process improvement in a fast-paced development environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as design authority for all electrical aspects of test systems and associated equipment.
- Design and deliver robust electrical solutions to support test stand development and operation.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop commissioning plans and maintenance schedules to maximise uptime and performance.
- Lead fault-finding, issue investigation, and continuous improvement activities.
- Conduct failure mode and risk analyses (e.g. FMEA, HAZID, HAZOP).
Skills & Experience Required
- Several years post-graduate industrial experience in an electrical engineering environment.
- Strong knowledge of single-phase AC, ELV DC, and either three-phase AC or LV/HV DC systems.
- Solid understanding of electrical safety standards and regulations.
- Experience with electronics and instrumentation, including PCB design.
- Ability to read, create, and review electrical schematics and technical documentation.
