About The Role: Platform Recruitment has partnered with a specialist manufacturer of precision electro-mechanical instruments. They are seeking a hands-on Production Engineer to support and enhance their manufacturing operations. You will focus on improving processes, supporting day-to-day production needs, and helping bring new and customised products smoothly into manufacture. This role suits someone practical, organised and proactive who enjoys varied engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day engineering support to engineering teams
  • Lead improvement tasks and contribute to cross-team problem solving
  • Create tooling, fixtures and aids to improve build efficiency
  • Drive continuous improvement activities
  • Prototype & test products using in-house equipment
  • Produce CAD models and drawings for updates or custom requirements
  • Liaise with suppliers or customers to clarify technical details
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies

Key Requirements:

  • Strong background in electro-mechanical products
  • 3D CAD design experience, Solidworks preferable
  • Good understanding of manufacturing quality principles
