About The Role: Platform Recruitment has partnered with a specialist manufacturer of precision electro-mechanical instruments. They are seeking a hands-on Production Engineer to support and enhance their manufacturing operations. You will focus on improving processes, supporting day-to-day production needs, and helping bring new and customised products smoothly into manufacture. This role suits someone practical, organised and proactive who enjoys varied engineering challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day engineering support to engineering teams
- Lead improvement tasks and contribute to cross-team problem solving
- Create tooling, fixtures and aids to improve build efficiency
- Drive continuous improvement activities
- Prototype & test products using in-house equipment
- Produce CAD models and drawings for updates or custom requirements
- Liaise with suppliers or customers to clarify technical details
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies
Key Requirements:
- Strong background in electro-mechanical products
- 3D CAD design experience, Solidworks preferable
- Good understanding of manufacturing quality principles
- Well organised with strong planning and documentation abilities
- Hands-on background prototyping & testing
- Workshop skills
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
