A well-established engineering business is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join its workshop team, working on the repair, overhaul and assembly of mechanical equipment.
The Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for key duties related to the repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
Responsibilities- Strip, inspect, assemble and test mechanical components
- Fault-find and repair rotating equipment
- Read and work from engineering drawings
- Use precision measuring tools
- Complete job documentation and follow H&S procedures
- Proven mechanical fitting experience (4+ years ideal)
- Apprenticeship or mechanical qualification preferred
- Strong attention to detail and hands-on skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Safety-critical environment (drug & alcohol testing applies)
