An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced NPI Engineer to join a well-established and innovative engineering business developing complex, high-reliability scientific instruments. The company takes products from early development through to full-scale manufacture and operates within highly regulated environments.
This is a fantastic role for an engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of design, manufacturing, and quality, playing a key role in ensuring new products are introduced into production efficiently, reliably, and at scale. You will be part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team and have a real influence on how products are industrialised.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead New Product Introduction activities from development through to production
- Work closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to industrialise new products
- Translate designs into robust, repeatable, and cost-effective manufacturing processes
- Develop and validate assembly processes, tooling, fixtures, and test methods
- Drive DFM/DFA and process risk assessments
- Analyse build data and production metrics to improve yield and performance
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Strong experience in New Product Introduction, Manufacturing Engineering, or Process Engineering
- Proven background taking products from development into production
- Solid understanding of DFM/DFA principles and manufacturing process development
- Hands-on experience with electromechanical assembly and test processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
