About the Role: Platform Recruitment has partnered with a long-established manufacturer who are seeking a Principal Engineer to provide structural, reliability, and technical analysis across a range of high-integrity products. You will lead analysis activities, support development and verification, and act as a key technical interface within a regulated, safety-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver structural, reliability, and system safety analysis
- Support root-cause investigations and corrective actions
- Define and oversee development and qualification tests
- Maintain and improve in-house analysis tools and methods
- Produce technical documents (stress reports & test plans)
- Support design reviews and programme verification activities
- Act as the project focal point for stress and reliability matters
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering or Science
- Strong knowledge of classical structural analysis and linear FEA
- Experience in regulated industries (aerospace & automotive)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- MathCAD experience
- Reliability engineering (FMECA, FTA)
