About The Role:

Platform Media is looking for a creative and data-driven Social Media Manager to manage and grow the social presence across multiple shows. This is a hands-on role combining content creation, editing, copywriting and performance optimisation. You’ll occasionally be required to attend recordings and capture social-first content, work closely with production teams and talent, and ensure each episode is supported by engaging, platform-native social output. The successful candidate will be highly organised, creatively confident, and comfortable balancing multiple projects while using insight to continually improve performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Content Creation & Editing: Edit content end-to-end confidently, with a strong understanding of pacing, hooks and retention, including short-form video clips, on-screen captions and copy, simple graphics and artwork. Capture social-first and behind-the-scenes content at weekly recordings. Ensure all content meets Platform Media’s best-in-class editorial and quality standards.
  • Copywriting & Publishing: Write engaging, platform-native captions and copy across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X and Facebook. Plan, schedule and publish content via Sprout in line with show release schedules and wider priorities. Maintain clear and organised content calendars across assigned shows. Work closely with producers, editors and on-screen talent to create authentic, high-performing social content. Support the wider social team with content delivery and best practice.
  • Community Management: Monitor comments and audience engagement across channels. Respond to communities in line with brand tone and escalate issues when required.
  • Performance & Reporting: Track and analyse performance across platforms including views, engagement and audience growth. Use insights to refine content formats, posting strategies and creative approaches. Share clear performance updates and recommendations with the Head of Social.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience managing social for podcasts, video-first content or long-form content.
  • Strong hands-on video editing skills in Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop.
  • Comfortable filming on location and working on set in fast-paced environments.
  • Confident copywriting skills with a strong understanding of platform tone and storytelling.
  • Passion for comedy, entertainment, lifestyle and sport.
  • Understanding of the social media, publisher, and influencer ecosystem.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics to optimise performance.
  • Collaborative, energetic, and motivated by taking something already successful to the next level in a fast-paced creative business.
