About The Role: This role requires a dynamic, results-driven sales leader with a proven track record in content sponsorship, branded entertainment, and media partnerships. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), the Brand Partnerships Director will play a pivotal role in expanding Platform Media’s client base, securing long-term deals, and shaping the company’s commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Growth & Sales Strategy: Identify, pitch, and secure brand partnerships, sponsorships, and media deals to drive revenue growth. Proactively develop relationships with brand marketers, media agencies, and key decision-makers. Work closely with the CCO to refine and execute Platform Media’s commercial sales strategy. Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to negotiation and contract execution. Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling sales materials, proposals, and presentations.
  • Key Client & Agency Partnerships: Develop and nurture relationships with brands, advertisers, and media buyers to secure long-term partnerships. Grow billings across Omnicom Group, specifically OMD, MGOMD & Hearts & Science. Act as a commercial lead for major clients, ensuring exceptional relationship management and revenue growth. Work closely with internal creative and strategy teams to develop custom brand solutions that align with client objectives. Lead high-value negotiations and oversee deal structures, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Media Agency Engagement & Trading Agreements: Expand Platform Media’s presence within the media agency ecosystem, securing trading agreements and strategic partnerships. Work alongside the CCO, marketing, and executive leadership to enhance media agency relationships. Represent Platform Media in high-level agency meetings, pitches, and industry events. Ensure Platform Media’s commercial offerings are aligned with agency priorities and market trends.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Partner with marketing, content, and production teams to ensure commercial strategies align with Platform Media’s brand positioning and audience growth. Work closely with the production team to develop and monetise branded content opportunities. Ensure seamless integration between sales, creative, and strategic planning to deliver impactful brand campaigns. Provide insights on pricing, market positioning, and competitive landscape to inform Platform Media’s commercial strategy.
  • Leadership & Performance Management: Act as a senior sales leader, setting revenue targets and ensuring high-performance sales execution. Provide mentorship and guidance to sales executives, ensuring a culture of collaboration and commercial excellence. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and revenue targets, ensuring accountability and results. Stay ahead of industry trends, bringing new revenue opportunities and innovative brand solutions to the business.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven track record in brand partnerships, media sales, or content sponsorship, with experience closing high-value deals.
  • Strong network of brand and agency contacts across media, entertainment, and digital platforms.
  • Expertise in selling branded content, digital media, sponsorships, and social-first campaigns.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to craft and deliver compelling sales presentations.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable sales strategies.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth media environment, with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Deep understanding of digital platforms and audience-driven content strategies (e.g., YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Podcasts).
  • Ability to collaborate across teams, ensuring seamless execution of commercial partnerships.
