Are you a Housing Officer looking to make a difference? Do you have a passion for Specialist Housing or Supported Living? We have an opportunity for a Retirement Housing Officer to join our specialist housing team based in Droitwich. In this role you will be mostly based at our Lullowfield House and The Cedars properties, however you will have the opportunity to work at other schemes and offices as required.
If you have experience working with people in sheltered housing, housing management, residential care, home care, social services, or health services and have worked with a range of voluntary and statutory agencies to secure and coordinate care and support for older people, then we want to hear from you!
This role is working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday with no weekend working. You will also participate in an out of hours standby rota, a minimum of three times per year, to provide occasional phone-based support to our Retirement Living schemes. This role is on a fixed term contact until approximately 31st December 2026.
What could you be doing?
- Providing a housing and tenancy management service to maximise tenancy sustainment.
- Being a regular and flexible customer contact for the residents, providing practical and preventative support and advice.
- Signposting to specialist care and support services to maximise wellbeing, social interaction and minimise isolation.
- Providing effective building management, including property inspections, risk assessments, H&S monitoring and compliance checks.
- Responding, investigating and taking timely action to reported breaches of tenancy/leasehold agreements.
What are some things we need from you?
- Customer focused with experience of working with customers to solve complex issues.
- An awareness of working with vulnerable adults would be desirable.
- Great interpersonal skills, and used to communicating with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Keen to deliver high standards with an ability to look to improve services.
- Confidence using digital devices, ICT software and systems.
- An Enhanced DBS check is also required for this role.
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
