Overview
Platform Property Care need an experienced Multi Skill Trades Carpenter based in Newark and the surrounding area of Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire to join our Repairs & Maintenance team and help us maintain and improve our homes, ensuring our customer's homes are maintained and repaired to a great standard. You will be a Multi Skill Trades Carpenter and carpentry will be your focus, but experience in other trades is an advantage, as you will be delivering Multi Trade repairs and maintenance. The role is varied. No two days will be the same and you will meet a wide range of customers along the way. It's a tough task and our expectations are high. In return, you'll have the support of a great team.
Responsibilities

- Work in people's homes, so you'll need to be friendly and approachable with good communication and customer service skills.
- Be organised and recognise the importance of delivering work right first time.
What you'll get
- Basic salary of up to £36,848 per annum (depending on experience) plus opportunity to earn more from out of hours and voluntary overtime.

Qualifications and experience
- NVQ L2 Carpentry.
- Experience of working as a Carpenter in the building trade either as a Carpenter or as a multi-skilled Carpenter.
- Experience of working for a Social Landlord, housing association or council.
- Associated trade skills of plumbing, plaster patching, decorating and wall tiling.
- Experience of delivering multi-trade work.
- Good organisational skills.
- Experience of keeping jobs on track.
- The drive to ensure works are completed quickly and efficiently.
- Good IT Skills. Experienced using a PDA. Experience of using Microsoft and Outlook email.
- Full current valid driving Licence as this is a mobile role.
- As you will be working within Customer's homes this role requires a DBS check.
Location
This role is for a team based in the following towns so you will need to live close to or in these areas: Newark (the office is based here) but work covers Newark predominantly but includes South West Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.
