Are you passionate about making a difference and improving our neighbourhoods? Our Neighbourhood Officers are at the heart of what we do as an organisation. We have a great opportunity for a Neighbourhood Officer to join our Localities team providing a comprehensive housing management service, working with communities and neighbourhoods around the Derbyshire Dales. This will include locations such as Bakewell, Ashbourne and Matlock. You will be someone who takes a hands‑on approach, helping customers to manage their tenancies and improve our neighbourhoods for everyone. Most of the time you will be out and about in your patch, working closely with customers to promote sustainable tenancies and developing strong relationships with local communities.

Responsibilities

  • Visiting customers, providing advice, reviewing tenancies and identifying any problems.
  • Regularly inspecting estates, raising, reporting and monitoring health and safety or safeguarding concerns to a successful conclusion.
  • Playing a key role in developing strong relationships within local communities, working collaboratively with other agencies and Platform colleagues.
  • Managing and investigating tenancy issues such as anti‑social behaviour, condition of property, fly tipping or safeguarding concerns.
  • Undertaking new tenancy sign‑ups and accompanied viewings for new homes.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working in the social housing sector, particularly with a background of dealing with tenancy management, ASB and safeguarding.
  • Experience of working closely with customers to tackle complex issues.
  • Proactive, organised and able to prioritise your time to meet timeframes.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer focused approach, understanding the importance of delivering a high standard of service.
  • Regular travel; a driving licence and use of your own vehicle or alternative means of getting to the required locations is essential.
  • Ideally based in Derbyshire due to required travel.
  • Basic DBS check is required.
