Responsibilities
- Responsible for the maintenance and repair of properties, completing patch repair work and refurbishments.
- Install and replace roofs, and be competent to deliver:
- Tile and slate
- Felting roofs
- Flat roofs
- Ridge and hip tiles
- Chimneys
- Flashing
- Pointing
- Rainwater gutters and down pipes
- Work in people’s homes, being friendly, approachable and a good communicator.
- Be organized and understand the importance of delivering good customer service.
Qualifications
- Significant roofing experience.
- A roofing qualification or time served, which will be a benefit.
- Self-motivated.
- Willing to learn new skills.
- Able to work alone and as part of a team.
- Experience working for a social landlord, housing association or council.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Hold a full current valid driving licence, essential for this mobile role.
- Have a DBS check, as this role involves working within customers’ homes.
