Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the maintenance and repair of properties, completing patch repair work and refurbishments.
  • Install and replace roofs, and be competent to deliver:
    • Tile and slate
    • Felting roofs
    • Flat roofs
    • Ridge and hip tiles
    • Chimneys
    • Flashing
    • Pointing
    • Rainwater gutters and down pipes
  • Work in people’s homes, being friendly, approachable and a good communicator.
  • Be organized and understand the importance of delivering good customer service.

Qualifications

  • Significant roofing experience.
  • A roofing qualification or time served, which will be a benefit.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Willing to learn new skills.
  • Able to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Experience working for a social landlord, housing association or council.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Hold a full current valid driving licence, essential for this mobile role.
  • Have a DBS check, as this role involves working within customers’ homes.
