Platform Property Care is looking for two enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join us on a 6-month fixed-term contract as Environmental Caretakers. The role involves removing refuse from bin stores on our estates, blocks, schemes, and individual void properties in Solihull and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the properties and surrounding area you serve remain clean, tidy, safe, secure and in good condition.
- Work in a team and share driving responsibilities in one of our 3.5 tonne caged vans to and from sites and recycling centres.
- Use your knowledge and experience to make a real difference to our communities and customers, helping to make communal properties great places to live.
This is a mobile role covering our sites in Solihull and Birmingham, and you will be based locally as you will start and finish your working day at our Group office in Birmingham Business Park.
Requirements
- Experience of working in a customer-focused environment undertaking cleaning and caretaking duties.
- A positive outlook with a flexible, proactive approach and the ability to work as part of a team.
- A keen eye for detail and commitment to achieving high standards.
- Good IT skills as you will be using an iPad to access a portal to log all required repairs and completion of health and safety checks.
- A full driving licence.
- This role also requires a Basic DBS check.
Working Hours
Full-time role working 40 hours a week Monday-Friday with core hours of 07:30-16:00 and no weekend working.
Location
This mobile role covers our sites in Solihull and surrounding areas. You must be based locally and be able to travel to different sites throughout the Solihull/Birmingham area as required.
