Our Market Harborough based Grounds Maintenance team needs a Team Leader to provide leadership and direction to a team of Operatives. Reporting to the Grounds Maintenance Manager, you will lead a team of Operatives based at our Market Harborough depot, ensuring works are completed on time and to the required standard. The role will involve all aspects of grounds maintenance, including:
- Lawn mowing using pedestrian and ride on mowers
- Hedge cutting and pruning
- Clearing leaves
- Weeding and edging
- Shrubs and seasonal bedding maintenance
- Pesticide application
Working pattern:
- Summer (March – November): 42.5 hours a week Monday to Friday
- Winter (December – February): 32.5 hours a week Monday to Thursday
We want somebody who can:
- Love working outdoors and inspire a team regardless of weather conditions.
- Have experience in all horticultural aspects of grounds maintenance.
- Be a self-starter, organised, and possess excellent communication skills.
- Deliver outstanding customer care and maintain a can-do, upbeat attitude.
Minimum qualifications and requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ grounds maintenance experience.
- Experience leading a team.
- Full UK driving licence with B+E trailer towing.
- PA1/PA6 certificates.
- Must live within a 30-minute commute of Market Harborough depot.
