Join Our Grounds Maintenance Team in Market Harborough! Are you an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative looking for a rewarding, permanent role? Platform Property Care is hiring! We currently have an opportunity to join our friendly and professional Grounds Maintenance Team based in Market Harborough, helping us maintain high quality grounds maintenance and associated estates services.
What could you be doing? You will be responsible for maintaining landscaped and communal green areas to a high standard in and around our estates. Your duties will include:
- Tractor and pedestrian grass maintenance
- Brush cutting/strimming
- Hedge cutting
- Shrub pruning
- Planting
- Weeding and weed control
- Litter picking
Benefits:
- Basic salary of £28,512 per annum (£13.66 per hour)
- Permanent contract with work all year round
- 25 days holiday plus 8 paid bank holidays and option to buy up to 5 days leave per year

Qualifications:
- A team player, you'll be hard working and keen to learn with a can-do attitude.

- Motivated and passionate about making a difference to our external landscape – you will love working outdoors and creating great looking environments for our customers.
- Full UK driving licence – this is essential as it is a mobile role.
- Residence within a reasonable commutable distance of our Market Harborough depot.
- Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions (uniform provided).
- Good Health & Safety knowledge.
- Relevant and demonstrable grounds maintenance experience, including the use of appropriate plant and machinery, ideally for a local authority or housing association.
- Gardening/horticultural skills or qualifications, including PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates, would be an advantage.
Working pattern:
The working pattern for this role is a permanent annualised contract:
- Summer (March – November) 42.5 hours a week Monday to Friday
- Winter (December – February) 32.5 hours a week Monday to Thursday
