We are creating a new opportunity for an Operational Data Improvement Officer to help us better understand and improve our services through the effective use of data and insight. The successful candidate will play a hands‑on role in improving how information supports Housing Operations. This is not a desk‑based reporting role. You'll work directly with real records, real cases and real service teams to identify where information is unclear, inconsistent or causing issues and help fix it. You'll support the wider data function by spotting practical issues early, helping teams improve how they capture and use information, and contributing to better outcomes for customers.

What could you be doing as an Operations Data Improvement Officer?

  • You'll carry out routine and targeted data quality checks, identifying, investigating, and correcting inaccurate or incomplete records while addressing root causes to prevent recurrence.
  • Lead data cleansing and backlog improvement activities, producing insights, recommendations, and audit‑ready evidence to strengthen data assurance and decision‑making.
  • Work with operational teams to improve processes, controls, and data capture practices across key housing services (e.g. lettings, tenancy, rent services, customer contact).
  • Support strong data governance by collaborating with Data Owners, mapping processes to systems, and ensuring consistent data quality standards across Customer, Property, Finance, and H&S domains.
  • Provide clear, practical guidance to colleagues, translating data issues into actionable insights and promoting best practice in data entry, record‑keeping, and data management.

What are some things that we need from you?

  • You will have excellent attention to detail and can identify patterns in day‑to‑day issues.
  • An understanding of how unclear information can affect real customer outcomes.
  • A practical and solution‑focused approach.
  • Experience of working with operations systems would be preferred (i.e., housing management, CRM, repairs or case systems).
  • The ability to travel between Group offices and to other locations as required.

What are some of our great benefits?

  • Up to 28 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) with the opportunity to buy and sell leave.
  • Family friendly policies including generous Paternity, Maternity, Shared Parental and Adoption leave plus 3 days paid Urgent Domestic Leave.
  • Medicash membership for all employees which includes access to an employee assistance programme, discounted gym membership and exclusive discounts.
  • Health Cash Plan worth up to £1700 p/a with cashback for dental, optical, physio and complementary therapies and more.
  • Pension contribution scheme with employer contributions of up to 12% (inclusive of life assurance and dependent on employee contributions).
  • Learning and Development opportunities.
  • Salary sacrifice electric vehicle scheme.
