Are you an experienced Work Planner or Scheduler in housing maintenance and repairs, looking for your next challenge in a fastâpaced and customerâfocused environment?
If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Work Planner / Scheduler based in Birmingham within our Platform Property Care planning team that could be for you!
In this key role you will be working as part of a highly motivated team, planning a multiâskill trades workforce to deliver planned and reactive maintenance work for our customers.
Our team of Work Planners is central to our drive to deliver great customer service and âright first time\â repairs and installations. This is a FullâTime role working 40 hours a week Monday to Friday 8:00â16:30 â so no weekend working.
What could you be doing?
Responsible for planning an operational multiâskill trades workforce, maintaining contact with field teams, and liaising with customers you will need to be highly organised, approachable, and a confident communicator. It is a busy role, juggling different priorities and you will need to remain calm under pressure, think on your feet and be able to work on your own initiative. But this wonât phase you as you will excel in organising the engineers and scheduling property maintenance and repairs. You will also have the support of a great team around you.
Who we are looking for:
- Strong IT skills, particularly Outlook and Word.
- Experience of working in a building maintenance or construction administration team as a work planner or scheduler, planning a trades workforce is essential.
- Workforce (Engineers) planning and scheduling software experience, including previously having used DRS.
- Some Technical Trades knowledge would be advantageous.
This role is to cover planning of our Engineer workforce in the Birmingham and West Midlands area so you would need to be based here for this role.

Travel Note
Whist this role is home based, there will be an expectation that you will be able to travel to our Group Offices located in Birmingham Business Park, Solihull or Central Park, Worcester on an adâhoc basis, and as required. There is a Team meeting every other month and there will be other infrequent travel required. Any required travel will be reimbursed in line with our current policy and current Inland Revenue Mileage rates. Car parking at our offices is free.
