Are you passionate about making a difference and improving our Neighbourhoods? Our Neighbourhood Officers are at the heart of what we do as an organisation. We have a great opportunity for a Neighbourhood Officer to join the Localities team providing a comprehensive housing management service, working with communities and neighbourhoods around South Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire, including locations such as Wisbech, West Lynn and Ramsey.
What could you be doing as one of our Neighbourhood Officers?
- Visiting customers to provide advice, review tenancies and identify any problems.
- Regularly inspecting estates, raising, reporting and monitoring health and safety or safeguarding concerns to successful conclusion.
- Playing a key role in developing strong relationships within local communities, working collaboratively with other agencies and Platform colleagues.
- Managing and investigating tenancy issues such as anti‑social behaviour, condition of property, fly‑tipping or safeguarding concerns.
- Undertaking new tenancy sign‑ups and accompanying viewings for new homes.
What are some things that we need from you?
- Experience working in the social housing sector, particularly with a background of dealing with tenancy management, ASB and safeguarding.
- Ability to work closely with customers to tackle complex issues.
- Proactive, organised and able to prioritise time to meet time‑frames.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused approach, understanding the importance of delivering a high standard of service.
- Regular travel required. Driving licence and use of your own vehicle or alternative means of getting to the required locations is essential.
- Ideally based in South Lincolnshire or Cambridgeshire due to the travel required around the patch.
- Basic DBS check required.
